HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

This past week we got to spend with both our families for Thanksgiving. On Tuesday Brandon's aunts and their kids came up to St. George to have an early Thanksgiving dinner at his grandparents house. It was a lot of fun hearing the funny stories of them growing up. I got to know his cousins a little bit more. It was the first time I've really gotten to meet them because we met them at our wedding but with all the people and everything that was going on I didnt really get to hang out with them. Then wed. night we drove up to Salt Lake to spend the rest of the week with my extended family. It was so fun! We got to see cousins we hadn't seen in years and hang out with everyone. My cousin had premature twin boys about three months ago and they are so so darling. They are the size of newborns now and everyone was passing them around. Brandon for sure loved them! He always was holding one or feeding. He's going to be such a great daddy!

We also both got JOBS!! WOOHOO! After months and months of me not being able to find a job and Brandon doing little side jobs here and there, we both landed great long term jobs! I am working at a law firm as a secretary and Brandon landed a job at an assisted living for seniors. He is finishing up his CNA right now and will start his first shift in about three weeks. He is super excited and can't wait to meet the fun residents!

More great news is that we both are starting school January! FINALLY! Seriously this past year since we've been engaged we have been in limbo land of decided what we were doing, where we were going to live, jobs, school just about everthing. So after one whole year we have both decided that starting school would be a great option. Plus a great benefit we both got was finacial aid! It has been such a blessing to finally have a plan and have goals that aren't just temporary now. We finally feel like we are moving forward and making progress as a married couple and starting our lives. Its so exciting to see how everything will turn out but in the end whatever is supposed to happen always does! Hope everyone is having a great holiday season!

Love,
JC

Fall is here!!!

Fall is my very favorite time of year! The air is crisp and cool and all the leaves are changing! On top of all of that we have the holidays right around the corner! Haha dont judge me but we have already started listening to Christmas music!!! I LOVE IT! So this past month we have been so busy! We moved into our apartment. Its been such a hassel living down here because we were supposed to buy a house and that didnt work out, so we decided we'd build and of course that didnt work out so we are in an apartment finally instead of living with family! Its been 6 months since we were married and we haven't lived in our own place. MOving into this apartment has been our "newlywed" time! We got to open and use all of our presents!
Brandon has been working as a framer for a great little company down here! He really likes it! He goes to work really early but gets off at like 3! I haven't been able to find any job! I have applied to over 200 places and I have heard back from 3! Its so frustrating because I have certifications in CNA, Dental, and Phlebotomy but there are no jobs in any of those areas. Since I haven't been able to get a job in those area's I have applied to the fast food resturants and call centers and retail stores. And of course I am "over-qualified" for the job! Its so ridiculous! So I will continue to look for jobs but if you know of any let me know! THats all thats been new with us but i'll post some pics up later!

Awesome Autumn!!!!

Its finally here!! Fall has arrived and its my favorite season, especially down here in St. George! Since the summer's are so hot here, come fall time and the weather is so so perfect! I'm talking 80's!!! I absolutely love seeing the leaves change on the tree's! There is just something in the air. Maybe its the crisp leaves under your feet when you take a walk; or how the air smells so so fresh! I just love it! Brandon's 24th birthday is coming up and we are going to see Tarzan but it's still a secret! We have heard great things about it so hopefully it is great! Our other big news is that we have decided that since we have had such a hard time buying a house that we are going to...... BUILD!!! Yes I said build! Brandon and I will build our very first house with just our four hands! I'm so so excited to see how it comes together! I'm also very excited to get to pick out all the colors and interior features! We have been looking at lots right now and have found one that we love in Green Valley! So hopefully we can get started on it soon so we can have it finished by Christmas!! Anyways just thought I'd post and let everyone know what was going on in our life!

Life in Saint George!

Bran and I moved down to St. George in June and we have been absolutely loving it! I started working with a travel company as a travel agent and it was such a fun experience! Unfortunetly the company was making some ethical changes that I didnt feel super comfortable with so I left. Brandon has been working as an insurance agent with State Farm! He enjoys it! We've been saving money and living with relatives until we can afford to buy a place! Good thing the real estate business is on a low because there are so many awesome deals right now! We have been so so so happy and just living the newlywed life! Brandon is such a blessing for me! I'm so blessed to have him in my life! He's such a hard worker and I dont know where i'd be without him!!
